| | Bill Lagan Bill Lagan is a little bit city - and a whole lot country. Born in the Bronx, Bill spent 33 years as a teacher in Mahopac, New York. Bill met his wife (and best friend), Margherita, in the Hamptons, and they have been married for 34 years.
Convinced the Grand Strand was 'The Place to Be,' they moved here in December of 1999. Bill obtained his South Carolina real estate license, and continued to commute weekly to his job in New York for the next 5 1/2 years. Bill retired from teaching in 2005, but he continues to work full time. He says he is comfortable being a public servant, and strives to meet the needs of his clients, giving them the attention they deserve.
Bill knows he is a very fortunate man, 'With our children and grandchildren living in the area, we are the envy of all of our friends.'
"It was just about this time last year that we were visiting the Myrtle Beach on vacation when we spoke of being curious about properties in South Carolina. Although we were not ready to invest, you graciously offerred to show us what the area had to offer. Within six months the family situation changed and it was our desire to relocate our parents to the East coast. A brief return trip to South Carolina to re-visit the properties that were available put us in contract to buy. Less than six months later they are moved in and exploring their new home town. The entire process of searching, deciding and closing has been such a positive experience and we credit you with that success. Your professionalism, trustworthiness, and commitment to our needs were truly appreciated. Thank you again for everything!
